61:6

وَإِذۡ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُم مُّصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَمُبَشِّرَۢا بِرَسُولٖ يَأۡتِي مِنۢ بَعۡدِي ٱسۡمُهُۥٓ أَحۡمَدُۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالُواْ هَٰذَا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ ٦

Y cuando Jesús, hijo de María, dijo: “¡Oh, hijos de Israel! Yo soy el Mensajero que Dios les ha enviado para corroborar la Torá y anunciar a un Mensajero que vendrá después de mí llamado Ahmad”¹. Pero cuando les mostró los milagros, dijeron [con incredulidad manifiesta]: “¡Esto es pura hechicería!”

Footnotes

[1] Ahmad, “el que más alaba”, uno de los nombres del Profeta Mujámmad, es la traducción casi exacta del griego períklytos. La profecía aquí pronunciada está confirmada en el Evangelio de Juan donde figura el término parákletos (“consolador” o “defensor”), que habría de venir después de Jesús. Se considera que parákletos es una deformación de períklytos, que es la forma griega del nombre arameo Mauhamana. El arameo era la lengua que hablaba Jesús, y en la que fueron redactados los textos originales —hoy perdidos— de los Evangelios. Dada la proximidad fonética entre períklytos y parákletos, no es de extrañar que el traductor —o un escribano posterior— confundiera ambos términos. Tanto el término arameo Mauhamana como el griego períklytos significan lo mismo que los dos nombres del último Profeta, Mujámmad y Ahmad, derivados ambos del verbo hamida (“alabar”) y del sustantivo hamd (“alabanza”). Pero incluso en el supuesto de que el texto original hablara efectivamente del parákletos, el pasaje es igualmente aplicable al Profeta Mujámmad, que es “una misericordia para todos los seres” (21:107) y “amable y misericordioso con los creyentes” (9:128).

Translations are available in both JSON and SQLite database formats. Some translation has footnotes as well, footnotes are embedded in the translation text using sup HTML tag. To support a wide range of applications, including websites, mobile apps, and desktop tools, we provide multiple export formats for translations.

Available export formats:

1. Nested Array Structure

Translations are grouped by Surah. Each Surah is an array containing translations for each Ayah in order. This format export translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes.

2. Key-Value Structure

Each translation is stored with the Ayah reference (e.g. 1:1) as the key and the translated text as the value. This format also exports translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes etc.

Translations with Footnotes

Translations with footnotes are available in three more formats:

1. Footnotes as Tags Format

Footnotes are embedded using a <sup> tag with a foot_note attribute. Footnote contents are stored separately under f key.

2. Inline Footnote Format

Footnotes are inserted directly using double square brackets e.g([[this is footnote]])

3. Text Chunks Format

In chunks export format, text is divided into chunks. Each chunk could be a simple text or an object. Object can be either footnote or a formatting tag. This format is useful for applications can't directly render the HTML tags. Here is an example of Bridges` translation for Surah An-Nas , Ayah 6:
