﴿يا أيُّها النَّبِيُّ جاهِدِ الكُفّارَ﴾ بِالسَّيْفِ ﴿والمُنافِقِينَ﴾ بِالحُجَّةِ ﴿واغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ﴾ واسْتَعْمِلْ الخُشُونَةَ عَلى الفَرِيقَيْنِ فِيما تُجاهِدُهم بِهِ إذا بَلَغَ الرِّفْقُ مَداهُ.
وعَنِ الحَسَنِ أكْثَرُ ما كانَ يُصِيبُ الحُدُودَ في ذَلِكَ الزَّمانِ المُنافِقِينَ فَأمَرَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلاةُ والسَّلامُ أنْ يُغْلِظَ عَلَيْهِمْ في إقامَةِ الحُدُودِ، وحَكى الطَّبَرْسِيُّ عَنِ الباقِرِ أنَّهُ قَرَأ - جاهِدِ الكُفّارَ بِالمُنافِقِينَ وأظُنُّ ذَلِكَ مِن كَذِبِ الإمامِيَّةِ عامَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ تَعالى بِعَدْلِهِ ﴿ومَأْواهم جَهَنَّمُ﴾ أيْ وسَيَرَوْنَ فِيها عَذابًا غَلِيظًا ﴿وبِئْسَ المَصِيرُ﴾ أيْ جَهَنَّمُ أوْ مَأْواهم، والعَطْفُ قِيلَ: مِن عَطْفِ القِصَّةِ عَلى القِصَّةِ

Tafsir content may span multiple ayahs. QUL exports both the tafsir text and the ayahs it applies to.
