كَأَنَّهُمْ

As though they

يَوْمَ

(the) Day

يَرَوْنَهَا

they see it

لَمْ

not

يَلْبَثُوٓا۟

they had remained

إِلَّا

except

عَشِيَّةً

an evening

أَوْ

or

ضُحَىٰهَا

a morning thereof
