( فما أغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون ) أي : ما كانوا يستغلونه من زروعهم وثمارهم التي ضنوا بمائها عن الناقة ، حتى عقروها لئلا تضيق عليهم في المياه ، فما دفعت عنهم تلك الأموال ، ولا نفعتهم لما جاء أمر ربك .
