فلهذا أصابتهم عقوبة الله على ذلك ، ( وحاق بهم ) أي : أحاط بهم من العذاب الأليم ( ما كانوا به يستهزئون ) أي : يسخرون من الرسل إذا توعدوهم بعقاب الله ; فلهذا يقال يوم القيامة : ( هذه النار التي كنتم بها تكذبون ) [ الطور : 14 ] .
