وقوله : ( وأعتزلكم وما تدعون من دون الله وأدعو ربي ) أي : أجتنبكم وأتبرأ منكم ومن آلهتكم التي تعبدونها من دون الله ، ( وأدعو ربي ) أي : وأعبد ربي وحده لا شريك له ، ( عسى ألا أكون بدعاء ربي شقيا ) و " عسى " هذه موجبة لا محالة ، فإنه عليه السلام ، سيد الأنبياء بعد محمد صلى الله عليه سلم .
