وقوله : ( فجعلهم جذاذا ) أي : حطاما كسرها كلها ( إلا كبيرا لهم ) يعني : إلا الصنم الكبير عندهم كما قال : ( فراغ عليهم ضربا باليمين ) [ الصافات : 93 ] .
وقوله : ( لعلهم إليه يرجعون ) ذكروا أنه وضع القدوم في يد كبيرهم ، لعلهم يعتقدون أنه هو الذي غار لنفسه ، وأنف أن تعبد معه هذه الأصنام الصغار ، فكسرها .
