ثم قال تعالى لرسوله ، صلوات الله وسلامه عليه : ( وما أرسلناك إلا مبشرا ونذيرا ) أي : بشيرا للمؤمنين ونذيرا للكافرين ، مبشرا بالجنة لمن أطاع الله ، ونذيرا بين يدي عذاب شديد لمن خالف أمر الله .
