( إنا نطمع أن يغفر لنا ربنا خطايانا ) أي : ما قارفناه من الذنوب ، وما أكرهتنا عليه من السحر ، ( أن كنا أول المؤمنين ) أي : بسبب أنا بادرنا قومنا من القبط إلى الإيمان . فقتلهم كلهم .
