( فعقروها فأصبحوا نادمين فأخذهم العذاب ) وهو أن أرضهم زلزلت زلزالا شديدا ، وجاءتهم صيحة عظيمة اقتلعت القلوب عن محالها ، وأتاهم من الأمر ما لم يكونوا يحتسبون ، فأصبحوا في ديارهم جاثمين ، ( إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم ) .
