"إلا أن قالوا لئن لم تنته يا لوط" أي عما جئتنا به "لتكونن من المخرجين" أي ننفيك من بين أظهرنا كما قال تعالى "فما كان جواب قومه إلا أن قالوا أخرجوا آل لوط من قريتكم إنهم أناس يتطهرون" فلما رأى أنهم لا يرتدعون عما هم فيه وأنهم مستمرون على ضلالتهم تبرأ منهم.
