أي : فيرد عليهم المؤمنون العلماء في الآخرة ، كما أقاموا عليهم حجة الله في الدنيا ، فيقولون لهم حين يحلفون ما لبثوا غير ساعة : ( لقد لبثتم في كتاب الله ) أي : في كتاب الأعمال ، ( إلى يوم البعث ) أي : من يوم خلقتم إلى أن بعثتم ، ( ولكنكم كنتم لا تعلمون ) .
