( وقالوا ربنا إنا أطعنا سادتنا وكبراءنا فأضلونا السبيل ) . وقال طاوس : سادتنا : يعني الأشراف ، وكبراءنا : يعني العلماء . رواه ابن أبي حاتم .
أي : اتبعنا السادة وهم الأمراء والكبراء من المشيخة ، وخالفنا الرسل واعتقدنا أن عندهم شيئا ، وأنهم على شيء فإذا هم ليسوا على شيء .
