وقوله : ( إذ أرسلنا إليهم اثنين فكذبوهما ) أي : بادروهما بالتكذيب ، ( فعززنا بثالث ) أي : قويناهما وشددنا أزرهما برسول ثالث .
قال ابن جريج ، عن وهب بن سليمان ، عن شعيب الجبائي قال : كان اسم الرسولين الأولين شمعون ويوحنا ، واسم الثالث بولص ، والقرية أنطاكية .
