( وما كان لنا عليكم من سلطان ) أي : من حجة على صحة ما دعوناكم إليه ، ( بل كنتم قوما طاغين ) أي : بل كان فيكم طغيان ومجاوزة للحق ، فلهذا استجبتم لنا وتركتم الحق الذي جاءتكم به الأنبياء ، وأقاموا لكم الحجج على صحة ما جاءوكم به ، فخالفتموهم .
