وقوله : ( ولو نشاء لجعلنا منكم ) أي : بدلكم ( ملائكة في الأرض يخلفون ) ، قال السدي : يخلفونك فيها . وقال ابن عباس ، وقتادة : يخلف بعضهم بعضا ، كما يخلف بعضكم بعضا . وهذا القول يستلزم الأول . وقال مجاهد : يعمرون الأرض بدلكم .
