قال الله تعالى : ( يوم هم على النار يفتنون ) .
قال ابن عباس ، ومجاهد ، والحسن ، وغير واحد : ( يفتنون ) : يعذبون [ قال مجاهد ] : كما يفتن الذهب على النار .
وقال جماعة آخرون كمجاهد أيضا ، وعكرمة ، وإبراهيم النخعي ، وزيد بن أسلم ، وسفيان الثوري : ( يفتنون ) : يحرقون .
