( وما لهم به من علم ) أي : ليس لهم علم صحيح يصدق ما قالوه ، بل هو كذب وزور وافتراء ، وكفر شنيع . ( إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا ) أي : لا يجدي شيئا ، ولا يقوم أبدا مقام الحق . وقد ثبت في الصحيح أن رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - قال : " إياكم والظن ، فإن الظن أكذب الحديث " .
