يقول تعالى ذكره: ليس الأمر كما يظنّ هؤلاء المشركون من أنهم لا يعاقبون على شركهم ومعصيتهم ربهم بل إذا بلغت نفس أحدهم التراقي عند مماته وحشرج بها.
وقال ابن زيد في قول الله: ( كَلا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ ) قال: التراقي: نفسه.
