﴿وكانوا ينحتون من الجبال بيوتا آمنين﴾: الواو عاطفة، وكانوا فعل ماض ناقص ناسخ، والواو اسمها، وجملة ينحتون خبرها، و﴿من الجبال﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان بمحذوف حال، أو بـ﴿ينحتون﴾، وبيوتًا مفعول به، وآمنين حال من الضمير في ﴿ينحتون﴾.
