﴿إذ قال لأبيه وقومه ما تعبدون﴾: ﴿إذ﴾ ظرف لما مضى من الزمن متعلق بـ﴿نبأ﴾، أو اسم مبني على السكون في محل نصب بدل اشتمال من ﴿نبأ﴾، وجملة ﴿قال﴾ في محل جر مضاف إليه، و﴿لأبيه﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿قال﴾، وقومه معطوفة، و﴿ما﴾ اسم استفهام في محل نصب مفعول به مقدم لـ﴿تعبدون﴾، وجملة ما تعبدون مقول القول.
