﴿جزاء بما كانوا يعملون﴾: مفعول لأجله، أي: لأجل الجزاء، أو مفعول مطلق لفعل محذوف، أي: يجزون جزاء، وبما جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿جزاء﴾، وجملة كانوا صلة الموصول لا محل لها من الإعراب، وكان فعل ماض ناقص، وواو الجماعة اسمها، وجملة يعملون خبرها.
