﴿ذلك بأنهم آمنوا ثم كفروا﴾: ذلك مبتدأ، والباء حرف جر، وأن ومدخولها في محل جر بالباء، والجار والمجرور خبر ذلك، أي بسبب إيمانهم، ثم كفرهم.
﴿فطبع على قلوبهم فهم لا يفقهون﴾: الفاء حرف عطف، وطبع فعل ماضٍ مبني لما لم يسمَّ فاعله، ونائب الفاعل مستتر تقديره: هو، وعلى قلوبهم جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿طبع﴾، والفاء حرف عطف، وهم مبتدأ، وجملة لا يفقهون خبر.
