﴿إذا﴾: ظرف لما يستقبل من الزمن متعلق بالجواب ﴿علمت﴾.
﴿الشمس﴾: نائب فاعل بفعل مقدر يدل عليه ما بعده، وقيل: إنها مرفوعة على الابتداء. والجملة من الفعل المحذوف ونائب الفاعل في محل جر بإضافة الظرف إليها.
﴿كورت﴾: فعل ماض مبني لما لم يسمَّ فاعله، ونائب الفاعل مستتر، وجملة كورت تفسيرية لا محل لها من الإعراب.
