﴿وإذا﴾: الواو عاطفة، وإذا ظرف لما يستقبل من الزمن متعلق بالجواب ﴿علمت﴾.
﴿البحار﴾: نائب فاعل بفعل مقدر، يدل عليه ما بعده، وقيل: إنها مرفوعة على الابتداء. والجملة من الفعل المحذوف ونائب الفاعل في محل جر بإضافة الظرف إليها.
﴿سجرت﴾: فعل ماضٍ مبني لما لم يسمَّ فاعله، ونائب الفاعل مستتر، وجملة ﴿سجرت﴾ تفسيرية لا محل لها من الإعراب.
