( وأملي لهم ) أي : أمهلهم وأطيل لهم مدة عمرهم ليتمادوا في المعاصي ، ( إن كيدي متين ) أي : إن أخذي قوي شديد ، قال ابن عباس : إن مكري شديد . قيل : نزلت في المستهزئين ، فقتلهم الله في ليلة واحدة .
