( وما جعلناهم ) أي : الرسل ، ( جسدا ) ولم يقل أجسادا لأنه اسم الجنس ، ( لا يأكلون الطعام ) هذا رد لقولهم ( مال هذا الرسول يأكل الطعام )( الفرقان : 7 ) ، يقول لم نجعل الرسل ملائكة بل جعلناهم بشرا يأكلون الطعام ، ( وما كانوا خالدين ) في الدنيا .
