( واجعل لي لسان صدق في الآخرين ) أي : ثناء حسنا ، وذكرا جميلا وقبولا عاما في الأمم التي تجيء بعدي ، فأعطاه الله ذلك ، فجعل كل أهل الأديان يتولونه ويثنون عليه . قال القتيبي : وضع اللسان موضع القول على الاستعارة لأن القول يكون به .
