( ربنا آتهم ضعفين من العذاب ) أي : ضعفي عذاب غيرهم ( والعنهم لعنا كبيرا ) قرأ عاصم : كبيرا بالباء . قال الكلبي : أي : عذابا كثيرا ، وقرأ الآخرون بالثاء لقوله تعالى :" أولئك عليهم لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين "( البقرة - 161 ) ، وهذا يشهد للكثرة ، أي : مرة بعد مرة .
