( وما يستوي الأحياء ولا الأموات ) يعني : المؤمنين والكفار . وقيل : العلماء والجهال .
( إن الله يسمع من يشاء ) حتى يتعظ ويجيب ( وما أنت بمسمع من في القبور ) يعني : الكفار ، شبههم بالأموات في القبور حين لم يجيبوا .
