( إنا لما طغى الماء ) أي عتا وجاوز حده حتى علا على كل شيء وارتفع فوقه ، يعني زمن نوح - عليه السلام - ( حملناكم ) أي حملنا آباءكم وأنتم في أصلابهم ( في الجارية ) في السفينة التي تجري في الماء .
