"وإذا السماء كشطت"، قال الفراء: نزعت فطويت. وقال الزجاج: قلعت كما يقلع السقف. وقال مقاتل: تكشف عمن فيها. ومعنى الكشط رفعك شيئاً عن شيء قد غطاه، كما يكشط الجلد عن السنام.
