( فجعلهم كعصف مأكول ) كزرع وتبن أكلته الدواب فراثته فيبس وتفرقت أجزاؤه . شبه تقطع ، أوصالهم بتفرق أجزاء الروث . قال مجاهد :" العصف " ورق الحنطة . وقال قتادة : هو التبن . وقال عكرمة : كالحب إذا أكل فصار أجوف . وقال ابن عباس : هو القشر الخارج الذي يكون على حب الحنطة كهيئة الغلاف له .
