وقوله تعالى : ( ثم توليتم من بعد ذلك ) يقول تعالى : ثم بعد هذا الميثاق المؤكد العظيم توليتم عنه وانثنيتم ونقضتموه ( فلولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته ) أي : توبته عليكم وإرساله النبيين والمرسلين إليكم ( لكنتم من الخاسرين ) بنقضكم ذلك الميثاق في الدنيا والآخرة .
