ثم قال مخبرا عن غناه عما سواه ، وأنه إنما يعذب العباد بذنوبهم ، فقال : ( ما يفعل الله بعذابكم إن شكرتم وآمنتم ) أي : أصلحتم العمل وآمنتم بالله ورسوله ، ( وكان الله شاكرا عليما ) أي : من شكر شكر له ومن آمن قلبه به علمه ، وجازاه على ذلك أوفر الجزاء .
