ثم فسر هذا الوعيد بقوله : ( لأقطعن أيديكم وأرجلكم من خلاف ) يعني : يقطع يد الرجل اليمنى ورجله اليسرى أو بالعكس . و ( لأصلبنكم أجمعين ) وقال في الآية الأخرى : ( في جذوع النخل ) [ طه : 71 ] أي : على الجذوع .
قال ابن عباس : وكان أول من صلب ، وأول من قطع الأيدي والأرجل من خلاف ، فرعون .
