وقوله : ( ولما سقط في أيديهم ) أي : ندموا على ما فعلوا ، ( ورأوا أنهم قد ضلوا قالوا لئن لم يرحمنا ربنا ويغفر لنا ) وقرأ بعضهم : " لئن لم ترحمنا " بالتاء المثناة من فوق ، " ربنا " منادى ، " وتغفر لنا " ، ( لنكونن من الخاسرين ) أي : من الهالكين وهذا اعتراف منهم بذنبهم والتجاء إلى الله عز وجل .
