ثم بين تعالى أنهم لا يتبعون في دينهم هذا دليلا ولا برهانا ، وإنما هو ظن منهم ، أي : توهم وتخيل ، وذلك لا يغني عنهم شيئا ، ( إن الله عليم بما يفعلون ) تهديد لهم ، ووعيد شديد ؛ لأنه تعالى أخبر أنه سيجازيهم على ذلك أتم الجزاء .
