تقول هذا معتذرة إليهن بأن هذا حقيق بأن يحب لجماله وكماله .
( ولقد راودته عن نفسه فاستعصم ) أي : فامتنع . قال بعضهم : لما رأين جماله الظاهر ، أخبرتهن بصفاته الحسنة التي تخفى عنهن ، وهي العفة مع هذا الجمال ، ثم قالت تتوعد ( ولئن لم يفعل ما آمره ليسجنن وليكونن من الصاغرين )
