The first word of verse (15:72) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An emphatic prefix, noun and possessive pronoun. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is ʿayn mīm rā (ع م ر). The attached possessive pronoun is second person masculine singular.
