The third word of verse (80:32) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, preposition, noun and possessive pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The noun is masculine plural and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The noun's triliteral root is nūn ʿayn mīm (ن ع م). The attached possessive pronoun is second person masculine plural. Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).
