Verse 265

وَمَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمُ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِ ٱللَّهِ وَتَثۡبِيتٗا مِّنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡ كَمَثَلِ جَنَّةِۭ بِرَبۡوَةٍ أَصَابَهَا وَابِلٞ فَـَٔاتَتۡ أُكُلَهَا ضِعۡفَيۡنِ فَإِن لَّمۡ يُصِبۡهَا وَابِلٞ فَطَلّٞۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ ٢٦٥

And the example of those who donate their wealth, seeking Allah’s pleasure and believing the reward is certain,¹ is that of a garden on a fertile hill: when heavy rain falls, it yields up twice its normal produce. If no heavy rain falls, a drizzle is sufficient. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

About Ayah Topics

Database Structure

The QUL exports ayah topics data as a SQLite database with the following structure:

topic_id: Unique identifier for the topic
topic_name: The English name of the topic
arabic_name: The Arabic name or transliteration of the topic (if available)
verse_key: The verse identifier in format "chapter:verse" (e.g., "2:255")
is_ontology: Boolean indicating if this is an ontology topic
is_thematic: Boolean indicating if this is a thematic topic
parent_topic_id: ID of the parent topic (for hierarchical organization)
description: Detailed description of what the topic encompasses
