9:18 - At-Tawbah

Verse 18

إِنَّمَا يَعۡمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمۡ يَخۡشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۖ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ ١٨

The mosques of Allah should only be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and fear none but Allah. It is right to hope that they will be among the ˹truly˺ guided.

About Ayah Topics

verse_key: The verse identifier in format "chapter:verse" (e.g., "2:255")
is_ontology: Boolean indicating if this is an ontology topic
is_thematic: Boolean indicating if this is a thematic topic
parent_topic_id: ID of the parent topic (for hierarchical organization)
description: Detailed description of what the topic encompasses
