17:52 - Al-Isra

Verse 52

يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ فَتَسۡتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمۡدِهِۦ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ٥٢
Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
On the Day He will call you, you will ˹instantly˺ respond by praising Him,1 thinking you had remained ˹in the world˺ only for a little while.
17:51 - Al-Isra

Verse 51

أَوۡ خَلۡقٗا مِّمَّا يَكۡبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمۡۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَن يُعِيدُنَاۖ قُلِ ٱلَّذِي فَطَرَكُمۡ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖۚ فَسَيُنۡغِضُونَ إِلَيۡكَ رُءُوسَهُمۡ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَۖ قُلۡ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَرِيبٗا ٥١
Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
or whatever you think is harder to bring to life!” Then they will ask ˹you˺, “Who will bring us back ˹to life˺?” Say, “The One Who created you the first time.” They will then shake their heads at you and ask, “When will that be?” Say, “Perhaps it will be soon!”
17:50 - Al-Isra

Verse 50

۞ قُلۡ كُونُواْ حِجَارَةً أَوۡ حَدِيدًا ٥٠

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “˹Yes, even if˺ you become stones, or iron,
17:49 - Al-Isra

Verse 49

وَقَالُوٓاْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمٗا وَرُفَٰتًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ خَلۡقٗا جَدِيدٗا ٤٩
Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And they say ˹mockingly˺, “When we are reduced to bones and ashes, will we really be raised as a new creation?”
