Fadel Soliman, Bridges’ translation translation for Surah Al-Hadid — Ayah 13

57:13
يَوۡمَ يَقُولُ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِن نُّورِكُمۡ قِيلَ ٱرۡجِعُواْ وَرَآءَكُمۡ فَٱلۡتَمِسُواْ نُورٗاۖ فَضُرِبَ بَيۡنَهُم بِسُورٖ لَّهُۥ بَابُۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِيهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ١٣
On the day when the hypocritical men and hypocritical women say to those who believed, “Wait for1 us so that we may borrow from your light.” They were told2: “Go back behind you and seek light.” Then a wall with a door was raised between them: within it is mercy and outside of it is punishment.
