۞ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدۡنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَيِ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَنِصۡفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٞ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَكَۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَۚ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحۡصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَٱقۡرَءُواْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِۚ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرۡضَىٰ وَءَاخَرُونَ يَضۡرِبُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ يَبۡتَغُونَ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَءَاخَرُونَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَٱقۡرَءُواْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنۡهُۚ وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗاۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُواْ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنۡ خَيۡرٖ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا وَأَعۡظَمَ أَجۡرٗاۚ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمُۢ ٢٠
إن ربك - أيها الرسول - يعلم أنك تصلّي أقلّ من ثلثي الليل تارة، وتقوم نصفه تارة، وثلثه تارة، وتقوم طائفة من المؤمنين معك، والله يقدر الليل والنهار، ويحصي ساعاتهما، علم سبحانه أنكم لا تقدرون على إحصاء وضبط ساعاته، فيشقّ عليكم قيام أكثره تحرّيًا للمطلوب، فلذلك تاب عليكم، فصلّوا من الليل ما تيسّر، علم الله أن سيكون منكم - أيها المؤمنون - مرضى أجهدهم المرض، وآخرون يسافرون يطلبون رزق الله، وآخرون يقاتلون الكفار ابتغاء مرضاة الله ولتكون كلمة الله هي العليا، فهؤلاء يشقّ عليهم قيام الليل، فصلّوا ما تيسر لكم من الليل، وائتوا بالصلاة المفروضة على أكمل وجه، وأعطوا زكاة أموالكم، وأنفقوا من أموالكم في سبيل الله، وما تقدّموا لأنفسكم من أيّ خير، تجدوه هو خيرًا وأعظم ثوابًا، واطلبوا المغفرة من الله، إن الله غفور لمن تاب من عباده، رحيم بهم.

Tafsir Resource

QUL supports exporting tafsir content in both JSON and SQLite formats. Tafsir text may include <html> tags for formatting such as <b>, <i>, etc.

Example JSON Format:

  • Keys in the JSON are "ayah_key" in "surah:ayah", e.g. "2:3" means 3rd ayah of Surah Al-Baqarah.
  • The value of ayah key can either be:
    • an object — this is the main tafsir group. It includes:
      • text: the tafsir content (can include HTML)
      • ayah_keys: an array of ayah keys this tafsir applies to
    • a string — this indicates the tafsir is part of a group. The string points to the ayah_key where the tafsir text can be found.

SQLite exports includes the following columns

  • ayah_key: the ayah for which this record applies.
  • group_ayah_key: the ayah key that contains the main tafsir text (used for shared tafsir).
  • from_ayah / to_ayah: start and end ayah keys for convenience (optional).
  • ayah_keys: comma-separated list of all ayah keys that this tafsir covers.
  • text: tafsir text. If blank, use the text from the group_ayah_key.
