﴿كَلّا﴾ (كَلّا) حَرْفُ رَدْعٍ وإبْطالٍ. والغالِبُ أنْ يَقَعَ بَعْدَ كَلامٍ مِن مُتَكَلِّمٍ واحِدٍ أوْ مِن مُتَكَلِّمٍ وسامِعٍ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ تَعالى ( ﴿قالَ أصْحابُ مُوسى إنّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ قالَ كَلّا إنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ﴾ [الشعراء: ٦١]فَيُفِيدُ الرَّدْعَ عَمّا تَضَمَّنَهُ الكَلامُ المَحْكِيُّ قَبْلَهُ. ومِنهُ قَوْلُهُ تَعالى (﴿كَلّا سَنَكْتُبُ ما يَقُولُ﴾ [مريم: ٧٩]) في سُورَةِ مَرْيَمَ، ويَجُوزُ تَقْدِيمُهُ عَلى الكَلامِ إذا أُرِيدَ التَّعْجِيلُ بِالرَّدْعِ والتَّشْوِيقُ إلى سَماعِ ما بَعْدَهُ، وهو هُنا مُحْتَمِلٌ لِأنْ يَكُونَ إبْطالًا لِما قَبْلَهُ مِن قَوْلِهِمْ: فَإذا أرادَ اللَّهُ بِهَذا مَثَلًا، فَيَكُونُ ما بَيْنَهُما اعْتِراضًا ويَكُونُ قَوْلُهُ (والقَمَرِ) ابْتِداءَ كَلامٍ فَيَحْسُنُ الوَقْفُ عَلى (كَلّا) . ويُحْتَمَلُ أنْ يَكُونَ حَرْفَ إبْطالٍ مُقَدَّمًا عَلى الكَلامِ الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ مِن قَوْلِهِ (﴿إنَّها لَإحْدى الكُبَرِ﴾ [المدثر: ٣٥] ﴿نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ﴾ [المدثر: ٣٦]) تَقْدِيمَ اهْتِمامٍ لِإبْطالِ ما يَجِيءُ بَعْدَهُ مِن مَضْمُونِ قَوْلِهِ (﴿نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ﴾ [المدثر: ٣٦])، أيْ مِن حَقِّهِمْ أنْ يَنْتَذِرُوا بِها فَلَمْ يَنْتَذِرْ أكْثَرُهم عَلى نَحْوِ مَعْنى قَوْلِهِ (﴿وأنّى لَهُ الذِّكْرى﴾ [الفجر: ٢٣]) فَيَحَسُنُ أنْ تُوصَلَ في القِراءَةِ بِما بَعْدَها.
