واما .................... عاتیة (96 : 6) ” عاد ایک بڑی شدید طوفانی آندھی سے تباہ کردیئے گئے “۔ الریح الصرصر کے معنی ہیں ، سخت ٹھنڈی ہوا۔ لفظ صر صر سے ہوا کی آواز بھی ظاہر ہورہی ہے۔ اور اس ہوا کی زیادہ شدت ایک دوسرے لفظ عاتیة سے ظاہر کی گئی تاکہ عاد کی سرکشی کا علاج اس سرکش ہوا سے کیا جائے۔ مناسب عمل کی مناسب سزا۔ یہ عادی سخت جبار اور سرکش تھے۔ قرآن نے دوسری جگہ تفصیلات دی ہیں۔ یہ لوگ یمن اور حضرت موت کے درمیان احقاف میں رہتے تھے۔ یہ نہایت سخت گیر اور جبار تھے۔ یہ ہوا جو صر صر تھی اور ” عاتی “ تھی ” شدید سرد اور سرکش “۔
