آیت 33{ وَالَّذِیْنَ ہُمْ بِشَہٰدٰتِہِمْ قَآئِمُوْنَ۔ } ”اور وہ جو اپنی گواہیوں پر قائم رہنے والے ہیں۔“ دراصل گواہی بھی ایک امانت ہے اور جو شخص غلط گواہی دیتا ہے یا گواہی کو چھپا لیتا ہے وہ امانت میں خیانت کا مرتکب ہوتا ہے۔ سورة البقرۃ میں اللہ تعالیٰ کا فرمان ہے : { وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ کَتَمَ شَہَادَۃً عِنْدَہٗ مِنَ اللّٰہِط } آیت 140 ”اور کان کھول کر سن لو اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم اور کون ہوگا جس کے پاس اللہ کی طرف سے ایک گواہی تھی جسے اس نے چھپالیا ؟“ علمائے یہود کے پاس نبی آخر الزماں ﷺ کی بعثت کے بارے میں اللہ کی طرف سے گواہی تھی ‘ انہوں نے اس گواہی کو چھپا کر اللہ کی امانت میں خیانت کی۔ سورة البقرۃ کی اس آیت میں اسی گواہی کو چھپانے کا ذکر ہے۔
