آیت 17{ وَاللّٰہُ اَنْبَتَـکُمْ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ نَبَاتًا۔ } ”اور اللہ نے تمہیں اگایا ہے زمین سے جیسے سبزہ اُگایا جاتا ہے۔“ اس نے تمہیں مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے۔ نہ صرف تمہارے جسم کے تمام اجزاء زمین سے لیے گئے ہیں بلکہ اس جسم کی پرورش اور بقا کے لیے تمہیں خوراک بھی اسی زمین سے مل رہی ہے۔ نظریہ ارتقاء evolution theory کے ماننے والے لوگ اس آیت کو اپنے حق میں دلیل کے طور پر لیتے ہیں۔ وہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ زمین سے اگانے کے مفہوم میں پہلے چھوٹے چھوٹے جانوروں کی تخلیق کے آغاز اور پھر رفتہ رفتہ اس مخلوق کے مختلف ارتقائی مراحل سے گزار کر انسانی نسل Homo sapiens تک پہنچنے کا اشارہ موجود ہے۔
